For the artist, the serpent represents both freedom and challenge; the freedom to bend, twist, contort and entwine the animal’s body, and the challenge of balancing its curvature to make it seem alive. The Basilisk is the fruit of Ella Gafter’s creative freedom and maestro Pierpaolo Esposito’s masterful craftsmanship: an entwined snake with white gold body, diamond scales and fancy yellow diamond eyes, meticulously designed and crafted to wrap perfectly around a human wrist. The fancy yellow diamond crown on its head signifies that it is truly worthy of the name “Basilisk”, the king of snakes.
